Job description
• The Bank Solutions division is seeking a Director, Product Management who can independently develop, validate, and execute a Risk Fraud product strategy within the context of a broader Data Analytics portfolio. The position includes both strategic development and the associated operational tasks necessary to manage Risk Fraud product offerings through their lifecycle from idea generation, evaluation, incubation, development, deployment, growth, maturation, and discontinuation.


As Director, Product Management, you will be responsible for creating and enhancing Risk Fraud products for the business unit. This extends from increasing the profitability or market reach of existing product offerings to developing new product opportunities. You will develop new product ideas and go-to-market strategies based on your industry experience and your contact with industry experts, customers, and prospects.

Fiserv’s Bank Solutions division offers bank platforms around the globe and in all of the United States. Among U.S. banks, more than one in three operates on a Fiserv bank platform. Fiserv offers the industry's widest range of bank platforms, available for in-house or outsourced processing. Each platform has a combination of services and features that serves the needs of any financial institution ranging in size from de novo to tens of billions of dollars in assets.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Serve as a product owner and be accountable for the success of the Product from ideation to execution and throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including accountability for financial objectives for the product(s).
Specify and prioritize market problems for current and future Product offerings by conducting market research (including VOC), supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
Define and drive the Product roadmap to determine competitive and differentiated Product offerings while achieving target levels of Product revenue and profitability for the business.
Establish requirements to effectively manage and track to a plan of record, including total sales, revenue, churn and contribution for the Product portfolio.
Identify, monitor and analyze internal (e.g. financials, movement, revenue, cost, sales) and external (e.g., industry trends, market share, competitive intelligence) performance parameters in order to reposition/enhance features as well as identify new users for the Product.
Define, develop, and implement channel strategies and integrated go-to-market strategies.
Create practical deliverables to support Fiserv’s ideas and thought leadership including, but not limited to, white papers, webinars, symposiums, etc.
Develop compelling positioning, value proposition and selling tools.
Work with Marketing and Sales to develop Product Delivery and channel enablement plans.
Prepare solution artifacts including, but not limited to, market/business requirements, use cases, and product description.
Act as foremost expert within the product management discipline .
Demonstrate effective motivation and direction of resources that do not report to the position (i.e., leading by influence).
Define, develop and leverage high-value offers to provide both revenue pull-through and executive intimacy/relationship within business segments and key accounts.
Lead the idea prioritization process by collecting ideas for new offers/solutions, driving the process for selecting and prioritizing those that warrant further evaluation, creating and reviewing business cases, advising business leadership regarding viability, level of effort, time to market, and size of opportunity for potential offers.
Ensure Sales and Delivery (and others as needed) are trained on the various Product as they are developed and subsequently evolve.
Drive and own the launch of new products and services and manage the cross-functional implementation of all launch plans.
Engage with departmental stakeholders before, during and after the launch process to evaluate status and success of product launches.
Partner with sales leadership to organize and deliver sales enablement programs.
Contribute to roadmap and product release planning.
Collaborate with the design team to optimize workflow and user experience.
Participate in sprint planning and reviews.
Analyze potential partner relationships for the Product portfolio.
Define plans and market situation(s) for the business for the annual Strategic Planning process, including defined targets and metrics to achieve Product success.

Education

• BA/BS or equivalent required, MBA desirable

Job Related Experience

• 8+ years of Risk Fraud management or product management experience of a Product portfolio (or equivalent) in a financial services or technology product management setting.

• Knowledgeable in development and launch process for Product offerings.

• Enterprise-level product launch and lifecycle management experience; ability to perform industry/competitive analysis to evaluate solution capabilities, pricing, promotion, and distribution.

• Background that demonstrates a consistent ability to move the organization forward and deliver successful financial outcomes of a Product portfolio.

• Track record of achieving or exceeding business objectives on a consistent basis.

• Executive presence and experience conveying the value of new and emerging services, technologies or applications.

• Experience engaging with and presenting to senior level management, diverse product team and external customers. Excellent communication skills required.

• Program management experience including leading a cross-functional organization in executing projects from ideation to completion that may not report to you directly.

• Extensive knowledge of a broad spectrum of technology areas, including technology trends, forthcoming industry standards, new products, and the latest solution development techniques; ability to leverage this knowledge to formulate technical solution strategy.

• Ability to develop a business case effectively outlining vision, benefits, with full financial analysis.

Additional Skills/Knowledge

• No existing non-compete agreements that would preclude the candidate from fulfilling the position requirements.

Travel Required

• This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in the U.S. 30-50%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pragmatic Marketing Framework knowledge a plus

• Risk Fraud product management experience
