Director - Network Strategy & Business Planning - Intel - Santa Clara

Job description
As part of the NPG’s office of Strategy and Growth Initiatives, we are seeking an experienced Network and Communications industry leader for the Director of Strategy and Business Planning, responsible for driving business strategy/planning in collaboration with NPG divisions and partners to focus and mobilize action and investments to accelerate the network transformation and Intel network business growth.
Responsibilities will include: establish a sensing mechanism that harnesses market competitive insights to proactively identify opportunities and disruptions in technologies, system architecture partitioning trends or platform innovation, ecosystem alliances, and new business models; guide creation and strategy alignment across network playbooks delivering to business unit strategic objectives by working with respective business owners/experts and GMs; collaborate with leaders across NPG/Intel to accelerate the network transformation and Intel’s network business; drive early stage business planning for growth initiatives; and work with divisions and Intel Capital to identify emerging innovators. This is a senior strategic leadership role that includes a large extent of multi-functional collaboration and directing a small team, and requires deep network business and systems technology acumen, strategic thinking and organization savvy, and expertise in business planning.

- Must have a minimum of 10-15 years direct experience as a strategic business leader in Network Infrastructure markets/customers/technology/ecosystem.

- BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. An MBA is desired.
- Requires demonstrated experience defining and driving strategy to reality, excellent business acumen, organization savvy, ability to synthesize information and communicate succinctly, as well as excellent team collaboration and influencing.
- High energy, positive attitude, self-starter, motivated
- Prior experience leading strategic planning, competitive analysis, business development, and building/implementing business models.
- Proven experience managing and working in a highly matrixed environment, setting direction and leading cross-organizational teams.
- Influence level recognized as an authority by Intel GMs/VPs, the industry, and peers across multiple organizations.
