Director - Engineering - Siemens - Mishawaka

Job description
• The Director of Engineering will provide the necessary planning, direction, organization and control to meet/ exceed the customer’s expectations, relative to quality and on-time delivery while attaining operational cost targets.
• Effectively manage multiple disciplines of engineering; mechanical, facilities engineering, automation controls, robotics, PLCs, vision systems, motion controllers, design, drafting, critical analysis, data/documentation and validation within a highly regulated industry

• Support site production by identifying opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency of plant equipment and systems, reducing operating costs through automation and implementing capital improvements to expand capabilities
• Establish and implement processes that ensure the efficient installation of plant/equipment/machinery and subsequent maintenance and service through a planned and preventative approach
• Excellent leadership skills with ability to motivate staff towards excellence and achievement of company goals and objectives


• Ability to mentor, coach, lead and develop talent in a dynamic environment in order to build the required capabilities and to attract/retain the best talent.
• Implement and sustain a culture of continuous improvement in analyzing engineering department operations and infrastructure by implementing value add/value engineering (VA/VE) projects to achieve annual cost reduction goals..
• Ensure that staff responsible to you comply, at all times, with the relevant Quality and Environmental Standards, e.g.FDA Quality System Regulations, and relevant directives as documented within our company Quality Management Systems
• Advanced degree preferred
