The Deutsche Bank Depositary Receipts business is a market leader specializing in administering cross-border equity structures such as American and global depositary receipts and reverse DRs (or TCRs), currently administering close to 1,000 programs for clients worldwide.
The business provide a high-quality, personalised service to its issuer clients and its investor/broker clients, with a range of value-added services to ensure that both issuers and their investors attain the highest benefit from their depositary receipt programmes.
In addition, the DR business also offers Post IPO Services, including paying agency, AGM, and advisory services for German and non-German companies listed on the German stock exchange
As one of the core Product teams within GTBs Product Management organisation, Client Products and Solutions is responsible for the growth and evolution of products and services in line with the principles of the Product Management Lifecycle.
The role is exciting and broad ranging: Focused on the strategic development of the core products of Depositary Recipients and Post-IPO Services as well as protecting the business acting as a first line of defence, the successful candidate will engage with senior management across Issuer Services as well as GTB Product Management in close coordination with Product, Product Sales, Global Technology and Operations to enhance, build and develop client solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Management
Representing Product Management on the Depositary Receipts management team
Stakeholder management and coordination between Product, Product Sales and Global Technology
Direct management of DR Product Management team, as the team develops
Fostering a performance driven culture incorporating active talent management
Ensure personal and team delivery against GTB, Issuer Services & DR strategic objectives aligning Product and Product Management goals
Product Strategy & Development
Building a network of relationships across Deutsche Bank to obtain a detailed understanding of the overall Deutsche Bank relationship with each of our corporate clients (across Equity Research, Global Banking Division, Global Corporate Finance)
Discovery and management of varied external service vendors (data content, investor relations consultancies) that will be of use and interest to our corporate client base
“Change The Bank” technology budget management and oversight engaging closely with Global Technology, Operations and Product to deliver critical infrastructure enhancements or platform roll-outs
Identify new product and product extension opportunities from idea generation through to product delivery in line with GTB’s New Product governance protocols
Assist in the development of proof of concept, business case and implementation plan for identified opportunities
Understanding and articulating the needs of the market and defining the long term strategic direction of the DR product suite (existing, new and product enhancements)
Engage both directly and indirectly in GTB Product Management cross product initiatives
Product Marketing
Contribute to internal and external thought leadership material
Attendance and speaking engagements at product and industry-specific conferences
Coordinate the development, delivery and maintenance of product marketing material and targeted marketing plans in conjunction with the DR Product team, including the Distribution (investor/broker relations) team and Product Sales
Desired Skills and Experience
You will have:
Experience in Transaction Banking preferably in an Equities environment
A clear understanding of equity capital markets, securities processing and corporate actions
The ability to analyse business situations and identify new and/or enhanced product opportunities
Experience at interacting widely at a senior level through a banking organisation
Experience in team management
Strong analytical, document review, writing and presentation skills
Entrepreneurial thinking and acting at all times, taking ownership for instigating and executing initiatives
Performance and result oriented work-style with a strong business acumen
The ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and work as part of a team as well as individually
Good understanding of the Product Management discipline, end-to-end process driven management approach
