Director - Sales - LED - Samsung Electronics - Atlanta
Job description
Samsung Semiconductor Inc. is a world leader in Memory, System LSI, and LCD technologies. We are currently looking for a Director of Sales – LED in our Atlanta office.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage and lead a highly technical staff and represent a knowledgeable and professional image of Samsung LED product offerings. This role will be responsible for the promotion and sales activity of LED chip modules and engines into the light market. In addition, this role is responsible for the sales, growth, and penetration of Samsung product into key accounts.
Responsibilities:
Meeting sales revenue goals for assigned customer(s) which include budget setting and attainment
Managing existing team of direct employees and functional team.
Properly forecast customer’s needs within the Global Supply Chain Management (SCM) to allow for proper material planning to meet their needs.
Monitor the performance of service within the assigned customer base and develop plans for areas of improvement.
Promote Samsung products to assigned customer base to gain new business opportunites within these accounts.
Develop business and sales strategies within assigned customers that aligns with the goals and objectives of the LED division of Samsung.
Create a strong business relationship with assigned customers to allow for effective collaboration on new product design and development.
Coordinate quality control and response for any reported failures from the assigned customer base. Work with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to make sure all issues are addressed in a timely manner
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in sales.
BS/BA required
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
5+ years of recent/relevant experience in LED and/or lighting
Strong track record of meeting/exceeding multimillion dollar quotas highly preferred
Ability to travel 25-35% as needed
Excellent communication skills required
