Job description
Warner Bros. Television seeks a Director, Estimating for the Television Estimating department. Responsibilities include:
• Supervises preparation of television budgets for production.
• Prepares pilot and series budgets for development projects.
• Supervises Estimators and 1st Assistant Accountants on TV series and pilots.
• Works closely with Production Executives to manage all financial aspects of TV series and pilots.
• Supervises the preparation of cost reports and production cost variance reports.

• Supports internal and external audit for TV series and pilots
• Supervises post-production activities including the preparation of budgets, cost analysis, coding of bills, and final cost estimates.
• Approves journal entries and corrects distribution errors.
• Assigns production, development, and special billing charge numbers.
• Monitors costs accumulated on outside job billings and development projects to ensure writer’s payments, costs billed and payments received.
• Responsible for the administration and accounting functions dealing with foreign tax reporting for tax shelter/labor credit purposes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience
• College preferred.
• 5+ years production cost budgeting/estimating experience, preferably in television, required.
• Location experience is a plus.
• Must be familiar with all phases of television production sufficient to estimate costs.
• Must have knowledge of accounting principles and procedures sufficient to review and ensure the accurate distribution of production costs.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with production executives and all levels of personnel.
• Must be able to prepare and present clear and concise cost production reports.
• Must be able to supervise professional and clerical subordinates.
• Must be dependable and able to work flexible hours.
