Job description
This role is a senior Information Management role, requiring a mix of design and build experience. An ideal candidate should have deep technology acumen and experience, which includes managing Data Architecture or Information Management domains in mid-sized to large companies. This role is a critical contributor to Retirement Information Technology's vision, and will be responsible for helping drive the Information Management roadmap, and support multiple transformational initiatives.



The selected candidate will -

Be accountable for Data Architecture and provide thought leadership to the Retirement IT organization, and Information Management organization. It will involve planning, creation of enterprise Information roadmaps, aligning delivery with corporate roadmaps, working in collaboration with corporate shared services organizations.
Manage and coordinate components of Data Architecture for Enterprise Data Warehouse build efforts, including detailed planning, design, build and maintenance. Provide technical design leadership to projects with the responsibility to ensure the efficient use of resources, and the selection of appropriate technologies.
Manage and coordinate the architecture and design of Meta Data and Master Data Management approaches for the organization.
Responsible for Data Modeling of key initiatives. Develop and implement data modeling standards, in alignment with the enterprise standards and target architecture/roadmaps. Support various project teams , logical and physical data models and provide guidance and mentoring to technical teams.
Provide leadership that directly contributes to the creation and strategic direction for data warehousing, business intelligence and analytics initiatives for the enterprise.
Responsible for helping the organization stay abreast of evolving technologies, including Big Data and Analytics, while taking a pragmatic view of technology adoption.
Responsible for design and build using massive parallel processing appliances such as Greenplum.

Desired Skills and Experience
This position will be required to manage a team of data architects

• 12+ years hands-on data architecture and delivery experience - in both project / initiative and maintenance/operational role. 6+ years in data centric initiatives.

• Proficient in supporting data design activities.

• Experience in Financial Services industry preferred

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience or certification

• Help establish and Implement Vision and Strategy - Empower team to implement the Data Strategy and the company's roadmap

• Ability to help define standards and best practices for Data Architecture, and mentor junior and mid level architects and modelers.

• Investment management – Experience in Investment management domain is desirable
