Director - Business Development - Applied Materials - Santa Clara
Responsibilities
Drive business development for emerging opportunities that are outside the existing Business Groups' served available markets
Assess the market viability and develop business plans for new technologies in partnership with the CTO Advanced Technology Group
Work with Corporate Business Development to provide due diligence support for Applied Ventures and M&A activities
Explore new white space opportunities for the Corporation
Job Specific Knowledge
Proven track record of contributing to new product development and release to manufacturing in either a technical, marketing or operational role
Demonstrated experience developing marketing and business plans for new products or services
Experience leading complex projects across functional organizational boundaries
Minimum of 8 - 10 years industrial work experience in either semiconductor, display, energy or related industry
Skills
Capable of identifying and evaluating promising, complex technological solutions and creating business opportunities to capitalize on them
Skilled negotiator
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experienced collaborator that is able to work with the technologists, business development executives and executive staff on a global basis
Good team building and communication skills; capable of managing by influence
Focused, methodical and driven work style
Qualifications
Education and Experience
BS/MS/PhD degree in in material science, chemistry, physics, engineering or a related field is preferred
Business Development / Product Marketing Experience
Strategy Consulting at top-tier firm
