Managing Director - Commercial Credit Rating Methodology - GE Capital - New York


Job description
Role Summary/Purpose

Strategically manage methodology and policy matters related to commercial credit ratings. Develop and implement the methodology across GE Capital's rating framework.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership in developing the commercial risk ratings framework for GE Capital
Implement the framework and use of ratings across GE Capital
Partner with the business units to develop and drive methodology and policy of risk ratings
Establish framework and process to monitor and track model performance
Support owners of probability of default, loss given default, and exposure at default model inventory across GE Capital

Develop monthly/quarterly reporting metrics and report outs
Supervise and manage direct report(s)

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
Minimum 10 years of experience in any or all of the following: commercial credit ratings, credit policy, governance, and/or supervisory standards
Experience with portfolio management processes including identifying and tracking performance metrics
Leadership experience with senior management interaction
Demonstrated experience influencing and communicating at all levels across the business
Proven project management and coordination skills.
Proficient use Microsoft Office (eg. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Eligibility Qualifications:

MUST be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

MUST have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
MUST be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification and background check.
MUST be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
MUST be willing to work from office location in Norwalk CT
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Applicants for this position who are currently employed on H-1B visa must have at least 2 years of eligibility remaining on their visa term in order for GE to petition for an employment based visa on behalf of such applicant.
