Director - Global Operations - VMO - Nike - Portland
Job description
As the Global Director you will provide leadership to managers, supervisors and/or professional staff and is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related units in geographies and WHQ. Develops departmental VMO plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities with Vendors. Applies business and management expertise to achieve financial and operational objectives within or across disciplines or departments. Identifies and resolves complex operational, commercial and organizational VMO topics. Manages resources to ensure financial, commercial and operational objectives are met.
Desired Skills and Experience
Relevant experience in Outsourcing and/or Offshoring industry; knowledge of outsourcing models and processes
· Understanding of vendor management structures and practices
· Good commercial and legal understanding of complex outsourcing contracts
· Good understanding of the Finance functions such as Procure to Pay (P2P), Record to Report(R2R), Order to Cash (O2C) and others
· Experience and demonstrated team management and leadership
· Experience in vendor service performance management in Outsourcing space
· Ability to manage issues/disputes with vendor
· Ability to process/analyse vast amounts of data and generate and present MIS reports
· Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
· Ability to manage through ambiguity and “matrix” environments
· Prior vendor management experience (preferred)
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Excellent command of written and verbal business English
· Very strong analytical and presentation skills
· Ability to work across multiple cultures
· 8-10 years of outsourcing advisory or Supply/VMO/Procurement experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
· Finance & Accounting experience (preferred) especially managing multiple geographies
· University graduate with a degree or further studies in Business, Finance or a related subject and/ or equivalent knowledge and expertise achieved through work experience
· CPA –an added advantage
