Director - Global Disaster Recovery - PepsiCo - Plano


Job description
This job is accountable for the strategic direction maturing capability of the Global Disaster Recovery (DR) Program delivered across all PepsiCo's Sectors (AMEA, Europe, Latin America, North America and PWF) and executed within a vendor managed environment including compute and network services.
The scope of the global program includes partnering with Global CISO and Sector CIO's to provide business recovery options that mitigate business risk. Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions are hosted primarily within the following datacenters: Plano,TX; Richardson, TX; London, England; Frankfurt, Germany; Singapore and some other local datacenters.

Accountabilities:
Define and communicate strategy for recovery solutions and mitigating business risk
Ensure end-to-end business process resiliency, availability and recoverability for PepsiCo's

Make-Move-Sell-Financially related processes
Promote governance, risk and compliance agenda for global program
Work with Internal and External Audit teams and other governing areas within the organization to ensure positive results
Counsel senior executives on alternatives to mitigate risk thru high availability, business continuity and disaster recovery strategies
Monitor, analyze and report risks associated with program progress and compliance with policies and controls
Ensure potential risks and mitigation alternatives are identified and appropriately communicated for funding purposes
Facilitate global implementation of recovery strategies and best practices
Negotiate and resolve issues as they arise across program life cycle and maturation process
Direct and mentor team members

Qualifications:
B.S., Information Technology (MBA preferred)
10 + years of experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Crisis Management (CBCP or MBCP required)
Strong knowledge of different technology platforms (Intel, Unix, Virtual environments, etc), technical architecture and data availability technologies
Strong leadership skills to drive change and bring organization to action
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior leadership
Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the implications for doing business in a complex multi-country environment
