Senior Director - Organizational Effectiveness - Viacom International Services - New York


Job description
Viacom seeks a collaborative, customer-focused and flexible organization development (OD) expert to join our Organization Effectiveness (OE) team. As a dedicated OE partner to assigned client groups, you build an OD agenda that supports the senior leaders’ business strategy by focusing on the creation, design and implementation of solutions that enhance organization effectiveness. Our ideal team member couples a passion for OD with a strong results orientation that is directed toward adapting theories and best practices into practical, results-based solutions that align with client’s priorities and add clear, measureable value to the business.

Responsibilities
Partner with key senior leaders in the development of organization effectiveness solutions focused on strategy, structure, process and teams
Conduct individual, team and division diagnostics and needs assessments
Build organizational capability through the design and implementation of impactful interventions
Provide change management expertise in support of organizational change projects
Partner with business leaders in organization redesign initiatives
Develop high performing teams through coaching and facilitation

Drive leadership development by fostering the adoption of corporate frameworks, and by designing customized leadership development solutions where appropriate
Track, monitor and report on the impact of interventions
Manage external vendor relationships with executive coaches and OD consultants on behalf of client groups
Participate in the development of enterprise organizational effectiveness methodologies and toolkits
Contribute to enterprise-wide and cross-functional projects

Basic Qualifications

10-15 years of progressive experience in an applied organization development role
Bachelor’s degree required

Additional Qualifications

Proven ability to develop trusting and collaborative partnerships with senior executives is required
Demonstrated experience applying advanced theoretical knowledge of change management, organization design and organization development interventions to solve business challenges
Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with human resources colleagues and working collaboratively across human resources disciplines
Strong ability in writing, speaking, and presenting effectively and persuasively across different communication scenarios and audiences
Well-honed project management skills combined with resourcefulness, strong facilitation skills and the ability to influence without authority is required
2-3 years of experience as an human resources business partner or talent acquisition specialist is positive
Master’s degree in Organization Development, Human Resources, or related field preferred
A professional certification preferred, e.g. Coaching, 360 feedback, DISC
