IT Director - MA Labs - San Francisco
Job description
We have an immediate opening for an IT Manager/Director.
Lead the IT team, assigns personnel to various projects, establishes work priorities and plans based on business partner needs. Directs and monitors work of development and support staff. Confers with and advises staff on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods.
Manages the operations of systems and processes to ensure low cost and efficient use of systems and personnel, including planning projects, organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
Take technical role to configure, installs, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs and supports applications programs from a systems engineering/infrastructure viewpoint.
Design, plan, procure, install, configure and support a variety of systems and services as required in a typical office environment (such as email, web, internet, telecommunications, file and printing services).
Develop solutions to ensure the network security to support the E-commerce business and in house operation
Architect the network infrastructure to support intercompany businesses at both domestic and oversea offices
Responsible for maintaining Windows domain controllers, Exchange server and web sites under LAMP environment with full redundancy
Collaborates and maintains ongoing relationships with management and customers. Maintains a high standard of services to ensure customer confidence and satisfaction.
Forecasts expenses and develops operating budget. Monitors results against the plan.
Engages in typical activities of managers including, hiring, supervising, scheduling, performance evaluation, training, and mentoring team staff.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work experience. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of IT and business/industry work experience.
Requires prior management, supervisory or team leader experience.
Technical requirements include 7-10 years of demonstrated information technology management experience with working knowledge of Cisco or Juniper network, exchange server and domain control, infrastructure services such as WAN/VPA, phone system and VoIP; familiar with Linux system
Requires project/program planning, implementation and management experience. Strong customer service experience and skills.
Effective team member with demonstrated leadership ability; customer and team oriented with the ability to work and communicate effectively with staff at all levels in the organization.
Hands on experience in IT/networking is a must
Bilingual in Chinese is a big plus
