Job description
Corporate Technology Group (CTG) has a current opportunity for a Service Manager in Covington, KY. We are seeking an experienced, skilled and energetic Director, Technology Management. The selected candidate will be accountable to manage a diverse team and deliver enterprise content management solutions leveraging EMC Documentum, Microsoft SharePoint, and IBM FileNet technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
People Management
Typically manages 5-7 exempt employees with a combination of managers and individual contributors; additional associates (both onshore and offshore) and variable labor can create a total team size of approximately 15-25 people
Manages employees who perform similar or related tasks; may manage employees from multiple disciplines
Oversees people and performance management activities carried out by Managers
Makes hiring decisions
Recommends pay actions
Establishes roles and performance goals
Monitors performance and provides feedback
Identifies developmental needs and provides development opportunities
Functional/Technical Management
Applies technologies, methods and concepts to maximize functional/operational capabilities while optimizing the use of resources by:
Proposing and analyzing technology decisions (e.g., vendor selection, make/buy, etc.)
Seeking and applying optimum mix of technology versus resources to meet business goals
Ensures effective use of technology vendors and internal Fidelity technology business partners. Stays abreast of technology innovations and recommends applicability to the business
Ensures contingency activities are covered related to system/application availability
Relationship Management
Manages moderate-sized service activities or client relationships by defining customer standards and service level agreements. Accountable for direct customer/client interface
Ensures all customer/client needs are met and/or issues are resolved or addressed
Oversees ongoing internal and external relationships
Understands customer/client business needs and recommends technology solutions
Financial Management
Provides accountability for the financial management/budgeting process
Approves budgets
Assesses on-going/future customer requirements and operational needs
Formulates budgetary recommendations according to business unit requirements and guidelines
Reviews billing cycle results to ensure accuracy of project estimates and labor utilization rates
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
6+ years of related experience
Possesses full project life cycle experience
Skills and Knowledge:
Proven track record of excellent technical management
Has previous experience leading teams or supervising people
