Corporate Director - Patient Access - Reading Health System - Reading


Job description
The Corporate Director of Patient Access is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of Patient Access in both the facility/acute care and professional/practice environments. The patient access functions require successfully securing necessary and accurate data to facilitate timely and accurate scheduling, registration and financial clearance for all patient encounters and admissions thereby ensuring accurate and prompt payment of services by patients and third party payers. Must maintain a working knowledge of patient management and patient accounting functions and metrics, understand how they impact organizational performance, the revenue cycle, and a strong business understanding of the departments overall financial implications to the hospital. The Corporate Director of Patient Access will strive to improve overall satisfaction of patients, physicians and other providers, physician office personnel, and payers.


Desired Skills and Experience
To qualify for this challenging opportunity, you should have:
Bachelor's Degree: Business Management or a related health field. Master’s Degree: Health Administration or Business Administration (Preferred)
Experience managing patient access functions with experience in both facility/acute care operations and professional/practice operations with accountability for results
Experience documenting and evaluating processes and procedures for process improvements and efficiencies
Demonstrated ability to work with multiple deadlines and multiple priorities required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a high sense of urgency environment
Demonstrated experience effectively leading staff through change
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships across the organization at varying position levels
Ability to maintain composure under tight and aggressive timelines
Experience creating and managing budgets
Proven ability to develop and manage vendor relationships
