Vice President - Financial Planning & Analysis - Neuberger Berman - New York
Job description
Financial Planning & Analysis primarily has two sets of responsibilities: Primary - 1) budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and analysis; and Secondary - 2) corporate treasury analytics including firm equity valuation, investor relations, liquidity risk management and capital modeling
Desired Skills and Experience
Responsibilities:
Lead the annual budget process, including coordinating between corporate finance and business support areas, building management reporting for the budget, and preparing and analyzing budgets
Analyze financial data and build analytical models
Create and update PowerPoint presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors
Lead the annual benchmarking surveys with McKinsey and McLagan
Analyze the financial impact of firm strategic initiatives
Help maintain the accounts and business structure hierarchy in the SAP general ledger system
Participate in ad hoc corporate treasury projects and analyses, including product-specific liquidity risk modeling and stress testing and other analytics for bond investor, bank and rating agency presentations
Prepare bond investor, bank and rating agency presentations along with internal management presentations including Audit and Operating Committee presentations
Assist in firm capital planning modeling
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related business field; MBA strongly preferred
Advanced technical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including ability to build analytical models from scratch) and PowerPoint required; advanced proficiency in Microsoft VBA strongly preferred (be able to code and manipulate VBA beyond recording macros)
5-7 years of planning/financial modeling experience
Experience in Product Control or have significant product knowledge
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; a self-starter
Excellent analytical skills, and strong planning and organizational skills
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to communicate clearly to senior management
Ability to work well under pressure
Knowledge of the SAP general ledger system including Business Objects strongly preferred
