Senior Director - Corporate Responsibility - Social Investments - Pfizer - New York


Job description
Responsibilities
Member of Corporate Responsibility leadership team, responsible in partnership with the leadership team, and Vice President for setting the strategic vision for corporate responsibility with a specific focus on the design and development of new social investment programs.

Manage existing global team responsible for international product donation programs, cash grants and international corporate volunteer programs. Ensure appropriate oversight of programs, including financial oversight, measurement of results and provision of technical expertise. Ensures that Pfizer is viewed as a leader in global health and Corporate Responsibility in all regions, with special focus on the Emerging Markets. Serve as liaison to one of more of our business units.

Manage NGO strategic engagement strategy in close partnership with the Senior Director of Global Institutions.

Core Responsibilities and scope of work:
Strategic planning and implementation of CR strategy with a specific focus on Social Investment programs

*Sets and oversees the strategic direction for core company CR programs
*Leads and ensures the execution of Pfizer's signature access, cash and donation partnership projects
*Develops and oversees annual operating plan and budget of [$38M] to execute signature international CR access initiatives; provides quarterly forecast updates.
*Ensures compliance with all relevant legal requirements

Manage global team based in NYC and Johannesburg
*Leadership of a 6 person team including day to day oversight of work, creating development plans, ensuring active participation and engagement of team members.
*Experience managing high performing teams.

Internal engagement
oIntegrates "best practices" and expands the company's CR strategy, policies, practices and programs especially across the Emerging Markets business unit including Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe.
oCollaborates with other relevant business units (established, oncology, specialty and vaccines) and other key internal stakeholders to adapt CR strategy, policies, practices and programs at the local and regional levels. Serves as strategic advisor and thought partner to one or more business units on CR practice; develops keen understanding of business priorities and ensures CR team is actively supporting responsible business growth.

External engagement
oConceptualizes and initiates strategic and highly visible stakeholder engagement strategy with key international global health NGOS.
oCollaborates with global external client groups to ensure alignment of goals, objectives, planning and execution of CR Global Health programs
oFocused on identifying, developing and cultivating strategic engagement with NGOS in close collaboration with head of global institutions.

Qualifications
*BA/BS Degree
*10 years plus experience in healthcare or highly relevant field
*10 years of experience and demonstrated skills in developing, managing and delivering public health programs and strategies
*Experience working and living abroad, preferably in emerging markets
*Experience managing comprehensive CR-related strategies and issues with a focus on how CR differs in various regions
*Demonstrated understanding of the business and the ability to translate the business needs into strategic plans that advance the team and Company goals
*Proven ability to align and integrate CR strategy with business strategy
*Experience in representing a company to and coalition building with a wide variety of international external stakeholders
*Proven experience leading a team, including effective performance management, developing talent and creating a high-performance team
*Ability to manage programs and projects from conception to completion and manage interdependencies within department and across other key stakeholders
*Ability to work across teams to align and drive business outcomes
*Experience with large, complex organizations with people of diverse functional and cultural backgrounds
*Experience managing and coordinating external firms and consultants
*Experience in external communications including public speaking and media relations
*Serves as a thought leader in the industry
*Ability and interest to travel

Preferred:
Advanced Degree e.g. MBA, MPH, MPA (International focus); language proficiency.

Physical Position Requirements:
Travel Estimated at 25-30%
