Head - Product Marketing - CPA Global - Washington
Job description
The Head of Product Marketing is responsible for planning, developing and delivering product marketing strategies that position company to achieve its short- and long-term financial goals. The role will include establishing a framework and process for delivery of targeted value propositions for CPA Global’s key law firm and corporate clients and markets. These propositions will serve as the basis for sales plays, collateral, website content and targeted campaign activities created in conjunction with Sales and product managers, and will support the sales revenue goals.
Your role also includes support for campaign execution including delivery of sales enablement tools such as product data sheets, positioning statements, competitor intel, sales training, and talk tracks.
In this capacity, you will work closely with the Head of Product management, Sales Directors and sales teams, Corporate and Field marketing teams within CPA Global.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Product and solution definition and ownership of go-to-market plans
Develop propositions and go-to-market solutions targeted, along with special marketing campaigns targeted on specific sections of the target client base.
Define the go-to-market strategy for the incumbent product portfolio, including the development of the product and commercial USPs to educate sales teams on the levers to effectively promote and sell products and solutions
Liaise with sales and product development to drive the development and commercial success of the portfolio across relevant markets
Work with relevant teams in defining the road maps of products
Work with relevant teams in defining client solutions (i.e. product bundles, complimentary product solutions, effective cross sell patterns)
Work with Sales and Marketing on executing the go-to-market plan
Work with operational teams to define any supporting processes to maintain the product
Work with operational teams to identify areas for improvement (e.g. content updating, customer service etc…
Actively monitor key product measurables (e.g. usage, user feedback etc), to drive market change plans
Develop and deliver the messaging to the Corporate and Field marketing functions to develop cohesive marketing campaigns to promote the product portfolio and comprehensive client solutions
Analyse and understand the organisation’s competitive landscape in areas of IP products and solutions and provide insight to product development and sales teams in areas of product differentiation, marketing differentiation and sales and go-to-market strategy execution

Key Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience with the full product marketing lifecycle and strategic/ competitive marketing analysis
Proven track record of managing multiple products from conception through phases of development and launch to commercialisation and demonstration of accountability
Experience of working in a matrix organization; proven track record of effective communication in a fluid environment with the need to engage and influence multiple stakeholders across a number of functions
Understanding of how product and solution strategy maps to corporate strategy and the ultimate achievement of the corporate business plan
Customer-focused mindset and approach to product and solution development
Sharp, focused analytical skills with experience of assessing the competitive landscape and pragmatically presenting to wider stakeholders competitive threats and trends in the IP solutions market
Experienced people manager with a proven track record of providing structure, focus and accountability to a team to ultimately deliver requirements
Ability to manage teams across geographies
Self-starter with the ability to lead and influence colleagues across other departments and other business units
Proactive in building internal and external working relationships
Excellent project management, commercial decision-making and delivery skills
Strong results orientated with a track record of successful delivery
Knowledge of IP industry desirable
