Developing and managing a cohesive, strong sales team with primary responsibility for existing brand partnerships and forging new ones. These brands include complementary services to eBay marketplace such as shipping, insurance, telecom providers as well as endemic product companies such as consumer electronics, health & beauty, toys, home appliances, autos among many others.
Owning a revenue goal on the existing and new business for the eBay advertising business tied to the brand partnerships.
Representing eBay as evangelist within the advertising ecosystem. This is ensuring the principles and opportunities of eBay are being clearly articulated, and the marketing platform as a whole is always considered at the senior levels of the agency holding companies, top 100 brand partners and shopper marketing agencies.
Being a strategic contributor to the business, specifically incorporating product marketing & product development into customer conversations; helping build customer stories and maintaining an eBay Inc. mindset.
Role Requirements
Candidate will have a minimum of 15+ years of experience selling digital advertising; 10+ years in sales management roles, and 4+ years selling to brand marketing teams.
Strong knowledge of the advertising ecosystem and specifically retail marketing ecosystem.
BA degree required, advanced degree a plus.
Very strong written and verbal communication skills; candidate must be able to think creatively, communicate strategically and efficiently, both internally and externally.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Proven track record and transferable skill set to replicate success
Located in New York; based in the eBay NYC office
Track record of building high performing sales teams a must.
