Director - Technology Products Architect - Unisys - Philadelphia
Job description
The Director, Technology Products Architect is responsible for Thought Leadership and orchestration - strategy, planning, and coordination of development – around next set of future Technology Products.
The role requires industry knowledge, leadership and collaboration skills to work with engineers, architects, solution managers, etc. in a cross-functional environment.
The role involves understanding and communication of Unisys Thought Leadership, Overview and Strategy around Disruptive Trends, Technology, and Portfolio to both internal and external stakeholders.
This person should be able to develop the implication of the Disruptive Trends on Unisys Product Technology direction and develop a Technology Product Roadmap In collaboration with other stakeholders.
It requires direct interface with Solution Management, and regular collaboration with CTO staff and program leaders.
This person is expected to work closely with Unisys Engineering organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
Understanding of Unisys current Portfolio.
Deep understanding of Unisys product Portfolio and technology.
Understanding of Unisys Portfolio Strategy.
Deep understanding of Unisys Technology strategy.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architectures.
Develop and maintain an aspirational architectural roadmap for the enterprise.
Apply Architectural strategy, roadmap and implementation oversight across the Unisys Portfolio.
Develop Architecture and design patterns for cross product integrations.
Provide Prototypes that confirm technical strategies and provide guidance to delivery teams.
Design and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
Deliver architectural initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency aligned to the business strategy.
Cultivate relationships with IT management.
Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies.
Provide architectural direction to Enterprise Architects, Business Architects and Solution Architects.
Initiate and deliver technology evaluations and recommendations.
Develop and communicate enterprise technology standards and policies.
Day-to-Day Work:
Work closely with CTO program leads, engineering, and solution management to orchestrate a process that leads the development of next gen technology products.
Conduct and provide industry research to guide this process.
Prepare the status reports and presentation material to be used during the phases of this process.
Present at customer, media and analyst events as a senior representative of the Unisys Technology office.
Present to internal constituents, including sales as a senior representative of the Unisys Technology office.
Desired Skills and Experience
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Strong technical acumen and experience (10-15 Years) leading the development of a complex technology product as a lead engineer/architect/product manager.
Broad, demonstrated experience in engineering/development process in a technology company.
Working knowledge and/or demonstrated experience in the areas of working on customer projects - requirements analysis, requirements development, technical solution, etc. (Preferable - Delivery experience of complex solutions as the chief architect or engineer).
Large technical project experience.
Experience developing strategy at a product, organization, or a company level.
Demonstrated experience in a significant senior technical leadership position such as a Chief Engineer, Chief Technology Architect, or Chief Technical Officer.
Experience working cross-functionally and globally.
Experience developing and delivering presentations to multiple levels of internal stakeholders including C-Level management, partners and customers.
Master’s Degree or higher in computer technology, electrical engineering, or related field.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Ph.D. preferred.
Experience with large complex technology products and integration projects.
Intellectual Property management experience.
Experience in Systems Integration, Data Center Migration and/or Outsourcing product.
Other Info:
