Director - Prime - Global Member Engagement - Amazon - Seattle
Job description
Amazon Prime has been called “the best bargain in the history of shopping,” and Prime members are at the heart of Amazon’s explosive growth in retail and digital product sales. The Prime team is looking for an experienced Director to drive global member engagement in Prime and Amazon.
In this role, you will own the vision and execution for Prime member engagement, driving strategy, roadmap, implementation and metrics. You will partner with business and technology leaders all across Amazon to define and build best-in-class features and capabilities in all countries where Amazon Prime operates.
You will lead the company in setting strategy for influencing Prime member behavior. You will own new projects and executive communication around these projects from start to finish. You will advocate for Prime and influence at every level in the company.
Candidates should have broad and deep product management experience leading, owning, building and optimizing on a global scale. Candidates should have a proven track record of product creation, strategic thought leadership, strong business judgment and intense customer focus. Experience in subscription or loyalty programs is a plus.
· 8-15 years online product management experience.
· Demonstrated leadership in defining a vision in a highly ambiguous, greenfield area and then executing with speed and precision, driving to tangible and measurable results.
· Proven ability to inspire leaders, peers and team members towards a program vision.
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to challenge assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
· Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action.
· Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
· Experience working in a global environment. International work experience is a plus.
· Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Program Management and Senior Leadership.
· 5-10 years experience in managing and developing strong performers.
MBA or equivalent.
Experience in driving subscription and/or loyalty programs
