Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
At least six years of experience managing professional technical staff in a complex business, higher-education or research organization.
Demonstrated success in planning for and providing high-quality infrastructure services and implementing new technologies, plus familiarity with current and emerging network and telecommunications systems.
Demonstrated leadership including working with diverse groups of people collaboratively in gaining consensus.
Direct experience leading business, academic and/or research technology functions that utilize networks.
Experience developing, managing and taking responsibility for a large budget and negotiating complex contracts.
Experience delivering high-quality customer service and fostering an inclusive, diverse, multi-cultural environment.
Experience using investigative, analytic, and leadership skills to keep current on programs and initiatives, assuring they are meeting established goals.
Demonstrate ability to conceptualize and articulate IT solutions to leadership.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are required with a high degree of energy, initiative, and organizational ability.
