Director - Payment Services - Tickets - Orange County


Job description
We are searching for a Director of Payment Services responsible for overseeing all operational and strategic elements of electronic payment processing at Tickets.com. This role is a liaison between clients, vendors, and Tickets.com personnel to ensure all elements of electronic payment processing are functioning properly. Optimizing payment processing revenue, managing risk exposure and compliance, and investigating new technologies and processes are also a part of this role.

Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for managing the reconciliation of electronic payment processing activity including payment platforms, payment processors, and bank deposits
Optimization of authorization rates and customer experience
Oversee PCI compliance and provide subject matter expertise in the application of the PCI DSS controls.
Responsible for annual SOC (1) audits which validate internal controls and integrity of the financial and ticketing systems.
Oversee management of chargebacks including investigation and dispute resolution
Work with client settlements group and understand the interaction with internal business intelligence (BI) systems.
Manage all fraud prevention, investigation, and remediation activities
Produce monthly reporting including payment processing reports, reconciliation with accounting entries, and detailed reports including exception and trend analysis by client
Analyze and monitor costs, trends, and other payment related data as well as provide business decision support through ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
Manage partnerships with Associations, Card Schemes, Banks, and Payment Processors as well as interact with client personnel
Maintain an understanding of Tickets.com’s products, services, and the ticketing software and services industry
Educate internal groups on payment solutions and business impact
Coordinate with Tickets.com legal on the negotiation and execution of agreement
Research new global payments initiatives, monitor payment rules and regulations, investigate payment processing improvement opportunities
Support and guide internal product teams regarding payment processing integration with Tickets.com development personnel
Hire, lead and motivate the payment services team, providing performance feedback that continues to develop skills, competencies and growth opportunities
Establish strategic goals, defining objectives, evaluate performance and efficiency results; develop methods to improve productivity levels and provide positive constructive feedback to employees.
Maintains a safe, secure, legal work environment
Appropriately handle employee questions, concerns, and follow up on issues to ensure a positive work environment.
Develop and encourage open lines of communication to maintain and promote positive employee relations
Promote employee engagement; recognize employee participation, successes and ideas.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or other related discipline. Master’s degree a plus
Five to seven years of merchant services experience including 2 years of management experience.
Experience with both retail and ecommerce electronic payment processing
Have a good knowledge of Chip & Pin, EPoS & EMV payments
Detailed knowledge of credit card processing and interchange rates
Experience with payment fraud prevention and resolution tactics
Ability to lead and work within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to achieve common goals
Must be detail oriented with ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
Excellent customer service, interpersonal relationship and communication skills
PC proficient, with knowledge of Microsoft Office products including advanced Excel experience
