Director - Partner Development - Inference. - San Francisco


Job description
Inference Solutions is seeking a talented and driven individual to continue to drive our sales growth in the US market. We have had strong success in signing new customers over the last 12 months and we are looking at ambitious new sales and repeat sales targets going forward. Our go-to-market strategy is via partnering with service providers – especially Broadsoft powered telcos / carriers given our strategic alliance and partnership with Broadsoft.


This role is charged with growing our partner base in the service provider community, building greater mind-share and advocacy within those service providers to on-sell our service and extending our key vendor relationships such as Broadsoft. This role is to be based on the west coast of the US with the location determined by the right candidate.

You will be responsible for:

Development of the sales & marketing strategies to increase our penetration of the service provider market.
Sales of Inference products and services to service providers and other channel partners.
Commercial & relationship support of new and existing Inference partners.
Development of sales initiatives in conjunction with the service provider’s sales teams.
Coordination of training activities within the service provider’s sales & engineering teams.
Account management of existing Inference customers for new business opportunities.
Relationship management with our key alliance partners, particularly Broadsoft.
Input into the development of Inference global marketing materials, plans & activities.
Input into the Inference product development strategy & priorities.
Contributions to the Inference strategy as a senior and experienced employee.
Providing leadership to Inference technical and support resources in the US.

Desired Skills and Experience
You will require:
Proven sales results in a channel / partner focused, technical organisation.
A solid understanding of telephony, general voice technology & IVR
Demonstrable ability to excel at understanding and communicating complex technical solutions and issues.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
First-rate interpersonal & negotiating skills with experience in contract drafting & negotiation
Strong analytical & problem solving ability with a comfort of making decisions independently.
Polished presentation and demonstration skills, both to individuals and groups.
The willingness and ability to complete your job responsibilities with minimal supervision and a high degree of autonomy.
The willingness to work from home and travel on a required basis throughout the region.
