Director GIS, EM Global and Logistics PMO
Reports to: Sr. VP EM Global GIS (Global Information Solutions)

• Avnet Electronics Marketing (EM) is a $16.5 Billion business unit of Avnet inc. that serves electronics original equipment manufacturers and electronic manufacturing services providers globally, distributing electronic components and embedded systems from leading manufacturers and providing associated design-chain and supply-chain services.
• Avnet Logistics is a global function within Avnet that provides all operations and logistics services to all business units globally.


Responsibilities:
• Coordination across Project Manager’s (PM’s) for all EM Global and Logistics Information Technology initiatives
• Facilitation of the EM GIS Global Governance calls with EM President and Regional Presidents
• Facilitation of the Logistics GIS Global Governance calls with Chief Ops & Logistics Officer and Regional Heads
• The role overseas the interdependencies of EM Global IT projects and EM major regional IT initiatives and also provides visibility to Logistics Projects
• Directly manages PM’s based in the Americas for EM and Logistics initiatives.
• Coordination of all EM and Logistics inputs to the monthly, quarterly, and annual GIS reports and plans
• Development, implementation and enforcement of overall Program/Project Management Service Offering.
• Validation of Program/Project Schedules, Budgets, Risks, Charters, Plans, etc.
• Alignment of Project Owner (Application Owner) and Executive Leadership expectations to ensure proper service offering, visibility, and transparency.
• Owner and coach on Project Management Methodologies, both from a theoretical perspective and practical implementation.
• Development of processing/structure for Global Initiatives/Programs/Projects and alignment across Regions.
• Coordinates the development of the Global EM & Logistics annual and three year strategic plans.
• Mentoring and coaching of Project Management Team.

Work Experience:
Nine plus years of professional leadership experience, with specific PMO and IT focus and interaction with senior executive leadership in a dynamic, large, matrix global corporate environment.

Education and Certification(s):
Master Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
