Director - HR Communications - NetApp - San Francisco


Job description
NetApp is looking for a seasoned Human Resources communications professional who will work with the company’s functional leaders, executives and corporate marketing to create a compelling program for communicating to and creatively engaging with our employees worldwide.
This Internal HR Communications director is responsible for creating, developing and managing a comprehensive global HR communications strategy, including the development of strategic goals, policies and programs and the integration into NetApp’s core communication processes and strategies. The role reports directly into the EVP of HR and is a key as it helps employees understand and embrace the company culture, mission and values

Essential Functions:
•Provide a Center of Excellence and Expertise to the organization on effective HR communications, identifying current and new tools to effectively communicate with internal, geographically dispersed, audiences in a culturally sensitive manner.
•Provide direction to the organization regarding how to ensure successful HR communication strategies exist based on organization’s enterprise business strategy
•Work closely with the organization to understand how HR communication can provide support and make a positive impact on the business.
•Develop effective global HR strategies and design compelling content for intranet stories, blogs, employee surveys, executive communications, videos, and webcast.

Desired Skills and Experience
•Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Master’s degree a plus or equivalent experience
•Minimum of 10 year experience in marketing or communications, public relations or HR leadership capacity in a business-to-business environment preferably in an international context; or equivalent experience
•Proven experience designing and executing effective, engaging internal communications strategies for global companies
•Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous
•Experience successfully implementing web engagement platforms and programs a plus
•People Management experience required
•Strategic planner who is also able to delegate, manage as well as personally execute, as needed
•Global thinking, cultural sensitivity
•Collaborative and approachable style, used to managing within matrix environments to build consensus
•Strong project management and design skills, attention to detail and follow through and ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
