Where you can help: We’re looking for a hands-on engineering leader to own the end to end experience and business metrics for one of three teams.

The Snapchat broadcast experience currently made up of Snapchat Stories & Our Story & Campus Story
Data Impact: You’ll be an integral part of Snapchat’s engineering leadership team. You’ll be managing a lean but, rapidly growing team. Our users send 700M+ snaps/day, making it one of the most-used apps in the world. Snapchat story views doubled in the last two months to greater than 1 Billion views / day.


What you’ll do:
Manage and execute against project plans and delivery commitments; Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an lean start-up environment
Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team driving customer focused business outcomes in your area of ownership.

Who we’re looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Designing and developing simple solutions to complex, interactive customer experiences.
Strong technical credentials, with at least 5 years experience managing software development teams, with hands-on architectural or distributed systems experience
Development expertise in: OOP, Java, and mobile applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
Communicating well with executives and non-technical leaders
