Director - Community Development - Silverado Care - Orange County

Job description
The Director of Development career at Silverado should appeal to someone that is interested in working with, and serving Senior Citizens. They should be passionate about creating new designs and solutions for senior housing. The job will involve all facets of real estate development and acquisitions for senior communities, as well as office leasing for Hospice and Home Health service lines..

The primary responsibilities will include:
Project Management:
• Assist the development department with entitlement, forward planning, renovations, construction and asset management tasks at all of our communities nationwide. These tasks include City interface and negotiations for permitting, entitlement and due diligence.

Acquisitions:
· Analyze and interpret property information (historical operating statements, budgets, loan agreements)
· Demographic and competitive analysis and reporting
· Attend meetings with sellers/buyers to discuss financial and occupancy structures/strategies.
· Manage and coordinate with the development and construction teams to advance development projects to completion and manage the draw process with our REIT and other financial partners.
· Due diligence and market evaluation on potential markets in CA and WA and other West Coast opportunities.

Desired Skills and Experience
· 3-5 years related experience with 2 years related real estate experience preferred
· Interest in working with Senior Citizens and passion for the development of supportive and healthy housing solutions for this demographic.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to build strong working relationships with both City officials as well as professional partners
· Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
· A team player who is willing to take initiative and eager to learn
· BA/BS degree in finance, real estate and/or business administration
· Proficient in MS Office
· Past project management experience
· Ability to travel throughout North America
