Program Director - Powertek Corporation - Washington


Job description

Powertek is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Program Director to manage a diverse team of information technology professionals in the software development and data analysis fields who contribute to the EA mission. The Program Director will be responsible for managing daily activities of high performing teams by providing leadership and guidance in the areas of enterprise, data, and performance architectures. The Director will also be responsible for ensuring EA governance and constructing business and technology transition strategies and sequencing plans along with technology road maps. The Program Director will mentor team members and provide Agile software coaching, facilitation and development. This individual will also provide leadership and guidance when it comes to proof of concepts, studies related to business strategy and technology planning, business transformation, and modernization initiatives. The Director must have experience leading/directing programs related to Service Oriented Architecture and Enterprise Data Modeling, business process modeling, business process re-engineering, data modeling, and conceptual solution design and development.

Basic Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience as a Program Manager/Director in an Enterprise Architecture or Development environment within Department of Defense, DHS, and/or civilian agencies overseeing multiple teams, multiple locations, and multiple subcontractors
7-10 years of experience with Federal information technology programs and services with demonstrated expertise in enterprise architecture, data performance architecture, data storage, data modeling, conceptual solution design and development, proof of concepts, performance architectures, technology transition strategies, business process modeling and re-engineering, and the proven ability to succeed within Federal business and technology communities
3+ years of experience in managing projects in the areas of Agile software facilitation and development, exploring new technologies and developing formal Proof of Concepts (POC) to include transformation of business applications into new Cloud service offerings; application of Big Data to business intelligence, and identity management
3+ years of experience in Pilot implementations to evaluate the effectiveness and potential Return on Investment (ROI)
Experience running programs with 50+ professionals in Federal government environment preferably law enforcement or DOD

Ability to formulate strong relationship with customer, employees, and stakeholders
Thorough understanding of information technology best practices, project life cycle methodologies, software development approaches, cloud computing, and industry trends
Understanding of two or more industry standard frameworks, including PMI-PMBOK, PRINCE2, (ISC)2 CBK, CMMI, COBIT, ITIL, SCRUM, Six Sigma, etc.

Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; advanced education and/or military service may substitute for portions of basic qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
Advanced information technology certifications; FEA, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent preferred
Advanced certifications from Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, UNIX, and/or Linux desired.
Strong knowledge of CMMI/SDLC/Agile required
US Citizenship required
