Director - Marketing Operations - PayPal - San Jose


Job description
The Marketing Operations Director provides leadership and direction for Campaign Management, Database Management and Channel Management teams. This role sets the goals and initiatives for continual improvement of Marketing Operations activities. This role requires an understanding of the executional and strategic needs of multiple marketing partners and must ensure that the organization is well equipped to deliver against these needs. As the leader for Marketing Operations, this role demands in-depth knowledge of marketing operations functions, technology and best practices.

Responsibilities
Support multiple marketing teams in the Americas Region in creating long-term vision and strategy for marketing execution.
Drive implementation of improvements and innovation in campaign, database and channel management.
Responsible for leading open communication with all levels of the organization.
Champion marketing technology infrastructure improvements (project management and implementation, governance and roadmap development), including collaboration with engineering, product management, marketing and other functions. Includes CRM and e-mail platform.
Maximize capacity of marketing operations functions.
Provide subject matter expertise on automated marketing operations and campaign management best practices.
Ensure all processes and campaigns meet compliance requirements.
Lead identification and implementation of new technologies and/or enhancements to marketing operations applications and platforms.
Manage global marketing operations activities, including SOP maintenance and training materials.
Required Skills
Working knowledge of CRM and email platforms and best practices.
Dynamic presenter - able to speak to any level in a large global organization.
Must be able to influence key decision-makers
Ability to understand complex marketing operations processes at a theoretical level - tactical knowledge a plus.
Must be well-versed in current creative development processes.
Passionate about continual organizational and personal improvement.
Ability to identify when to utilize other resources for assistance - this can included delegating as well as increasing operations oriented knowledge.
10-15 years experience in marketing operations, managing multiple teams and working with multiple stakeholders.
