Director - Investor Relations - Nike - Portland


Job description
As our Director of Investor Relations, you will work to ensure NIKE, Inc. is recognized and valued as a great company with great brands. You will:

drive investor demand through a targeted outreach program that distinguishes and positions NIKE as a relative, best-in-class investment option;
establish, maintain and communicate the growth story’s quantitative and qualitative attributes;
execute highly effective investor communications; and
increase internal organizational awareness of the NIKE, Inc. growth story and value creation drivers.

Doing all this requires a unique and deeply experienced individual. You must be a self-starter, flexible thinker and an outstanding communicator. You will play a critical role on our small but high-profile team, building partnerships with key internal and external constituents. You will be responsible for:

Helping to create and maintain a holistic and progressive Investor Relations functional strategic plan
Thinking like the CEO, knowing all aspects of NIKE and the industry…thinking like an Analyst, knowing the numbers and underlying drivers
Creating and driving consistent messaging across all key internal and external deliverables
Leading key aspects of the quarterly earnings release process, including supporting deliverables like the press release, executive scripts, financial guidance and modeling, Q&A document, and supporting the development of SEC filings and employee communications
Leading key aspects of the annual reporting process, including the CEO letter to shareholders, and supporting the development of the proxy statement and 10-K filing
Leading key components of the annual shareholder meeting
Contribution of original content and helping to maintain the corporate investor web site
Proofing and ensuring non-financial messages are aligned on all key external communications
Proofing and ensuring internal communications and executive presentations comply with IR protocols
Supporting and participating in investor road shows and small group meetings
Contributing to the development and execution of the investor outreach program
Developing relationships with and managing buy-side and sell-side analysts
Leading key aspects of large-scale investor days
Partnering with our legal team on all aspects of shareholder services
Driving a shareholder value culture with NIKE, bringing external perspective to our teams
Leading the develop of key internal deliverables such as quarterly functional reviews, Board of Director updates and annual resource planning
Managing external vendor relationships
Compliance with Regulation FD and corporate policies

Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements for the position include:
Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field with an emphasis in Finance and/or Accounting
7-10 years of extensive and progressive experience in Investor Relations and more than 5 years in Corporate Finance, experience with a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company experience is preferred
An MBA (with a concentration on Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field), CMA or CPA is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience
Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration, focus on winning as a team
The ability to work with various members from cross functional teams, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and a strong sense of urgency and ability to work with short turnaround times
Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
Strong ability to develop high-profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams and functions
Strong attention to detail
Ability to pass a 7 year background check
