Director - Internal and External Communications - Alliance Data - Columbus

Job description
Summary:
The Director in our Integrated Marketing & Communications department will direct all internal and external communications for Alliance Data Retail Services. This position will be responsible for designing and delivering key messages and materials throughout the organization and have them create a desired atmosphere/action.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop a brand marketing strategy, content and programs to industry stakeholders (clients, prospects, consultants); includes brand templates and collateral such as advertisements, whitepapers, newsletters, etc.
Direct management of speaking engagements and sponsorships
Direct public relations activities, including planning, developing content and crisis communications
Manage content and maintenance of web and digital properties (web sites, searches, social media)
Lead strategic thinking of development of selling tools - sales materials, new product communications, digital integration, etc.
Lead branding strategy for the two banks that manage financing for our branded credit programs, Comenity
Develop communications strategy for all internal campaigns, such as Associate Engagement, Living Well, 5 in 5 updates, client signings, etc.
Spearhead all communication activities surrounding Seasonal Briefings, Retail Summits and other large scale company gatherings
Direct all environmental branding; ensuring each site has consistent and valuable brand messaging visible to all associates and visitors

Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years in marketing and creative communications
Proven leadership experience. Minimum of 3 years leadership experience
Superior planning and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to create and share a vision for projects
Experience working with all levels of an organization up to and including C-suite/executive team
