Director - Marketing - Rexnord - Los Angeles


Job description
The Marketing Director, who will be based at our Simi Valley, California manufacturing facility, will be the primary owner in refining, developing and executing the overall marketing strategies and programs. The Marketing Director will have the ability to recognize key market strategies and communicate findings via accurate demand forecasts to the business for enhanced operating efficiencies. Relationally with customers, the Marketing Director will establish and maintain consistent communications with the appropriate parties across customer organizations to maintain real time awareness of voice of customer (VOC). The Marketing Director will be responsible for bookings and serving as the commercial lead in shipping adequate product on a monthly basis to meet respective financial goals. The role is responsible for all day-to-day activities associated with marketing, sales and customer service. The successful candidate is able to manage change, lead through influence and drive process improvements by using a strategic, analytical, hands-on approach.

Key areas of job focus include:

Develop and execute sales/marketing strategies and business plans to achieve growth and profit margin goals
Takes the leadership role in identifying target markets, customers and opportunities
Works with Aerospace Sales Team to expand market presence
Execute market driven strategies that result in sustainable competitive advantage
Understand key market and competitive trends in order to best implement our value proposition
Drive customer satisfaction/loyalty culture
Drive methods and tools to improve pricing and quoting initiatives
Key input to SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning) process
Drive customer management and contract enforcement
Develop & implement strategies for market pricing by channel, product, life cycle, etc.
Utilize key marketing metrics and key performance indicator systems for continual improvement
Effectively lead, manage and motivate the customer service, program management and repair station teams

Desired Skills and Experience

At least 5 years experience in an Aerospace environment
B.S. in Engineering or Business
Proactive professional that is driven to set aggressive goals
Acts with strong sense of urgency with keen attention to detail
Creative thinker; strong analytical and decision making skills
Reputation for developing innovative strategies in complex markets, ultimately executing for revenue and market share growth
Ability to hold others accountable
Process Oriented
Ability to handle multiple projects and work effectively under time constraints in a chaotic environment
Able/willing to travel to meet customers, attend shows as required
