VP, IT Operations

AtTask has fast become the leading SaaS Collaborative Work Management software vendor and our growth has been amazing! We help companies do their work more efficiently, manage projects more effectively, and collaborate with their teams more productively. We currently have an opening for a Vice President, IT Operations to work in the Information Technology Department. The position will primarily have responsibility for network, server infrastructure, desktops/laptops, security policies and software for the entire company. The position will work directly with other departments and department heads throughout the Company, reporting to the CTO. The Vice President, IT Operations will play a key role in introducing new and creative growth strategies to AtTask while being able to manage a team of talented professionals to help take a thriving, company to the next stage of enterprise development. This role requires a proactive and results oriented individual with the ability to work on assigned tasks, as well as independently identify other value-add activities.

Job Responsibilities:
Direct the strategic and tactical IT activities to support an inbound/outbound sales and client service center.
Responsible for site financials up to and including budgets, forecasting, and monthly P&L.
Directs IT organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to functional strategic thinking and direction.
Organizes, supervises and directs the work of IT staff members
Align processes with capabilities of new systems.
Works with other department managers to assist with technical interface between the company and outside partners to ensure technical issues such as network outages, and connectivity/phone systems/server issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Demonstrates initiative and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Meets with clients, representatives of other companies, vendors, and subcontract agencies to present views, or discuss contract changes.
Recommends and sets departmental goals and objectives, deploying company resources to accomplish.
Participate in strategic and operational planning and development of annual operating budgets for the business.
Provide Management with accurate and timely reports on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
Interact with regulatory agencies and maintain knowledge of applicable regulations, standards and compliance issues.
Align with and support other management staff functions in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term plans to meet business objectives.
Manages vendor accounts for maximum profitability and quality assurance.
Work with department managers to maintain relationships with property managers and landlords.
Be one of several points of contact for all emergency situations.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications / Characteristics:

Batchelors degree in Information Systems or Computer Science required
5 years of management experience required
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and management skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to communicate well with finance and software development.
Ability to work on multiple tasks and able to prioritize personal workload.
Detail oriented and self starter.
Must possess excellent written and oral communications and presentation skills, as well as excellent interpersonal, creative and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PM and/or ITIL Certification preferred
Network and information security credentials a plus
At least 7 years’ experience in a Technical IT Leadership role, including managing multiple teams and technical environments. Progressive experience with significant exposure to multiple Infrastructure technology platforms and demonstrated leadership ability on a global basis.
Certified and recognized expert in multiple technologies (communications, data storage), processes, and/or methodologies.
Global team leadership and project experience required.
Practical experience and knowledge of service and application delivery (ITIL based), as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments (Incident management including methodical troubleshooting of hardware, network outages, and routing).
Extensive knowledge of industry leading infrastructure monitoring, auditing and logging utilities and applications, including deployment, maintenance and reporting.
Working knowledge of command line Linux Systems Administration and Networking
Mastery of networking protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, SMTP, etc.)
Experience with IT security and IT auditing (SOC1, PCI, etc)
