Job description
The Map Things team in HERE, a Nokia business in Silicon Valley is looking for a top tier
product manager to bring a game changing new consumer product to market.
As a Senior Product Manager, the candidate will be responsible for defining product
requirements and helping shape the business model for an outdoor & sports focused connected
experience that fuses hardware, software and services together in a remarkable and novel
value proposition.
The ideal candidate has a ‘spider sense’ for product innovation across the board in order to help
craft the next big thing. We are looking for someone with a proven track record managing
successful CE products that excite and mesmerize customers.
As a key member of the product team, the candidate will drive implementation from concept
through to mass production & sales start. She / he will work in close collaboration with design
(ID, UX), engineering (HW, SW), operations (program management, finance, logistics),
marketing and sales peers to deliver this unique experience in time, with exceptional quality,
and with great eye for the smallest detail.
The candidate must have a strong product, technical and commercial background. She / he has
endless passion for consumer electronics, online apps & services, and preferably, for a
multitude of activities in the great outdoors. Her / his leadership skills and domain knowledge
will not only drive the product team, but also win over the support of senior executives involved
in critical product decision-making.

Responsibilities
• Be the passionate voice of the user
• Identify market opportunities, build business cases, and define product vision and
strategy for your product domain
• Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for future products
• Lead the definition of product requirements across hardware, software (apps) and
services components
• Lead the ideation, development, and launch of innovative product experiences
• Complete understanding of product, design, features, experience and detailed end-2-
end user scenarios
• Drive product development and work in close collaboration with our world class design,
engineering, operations, marketing and sales teams
• Manage priority tradeoffs involving features, cost, design, schedule, pricing and product
experience
• Manage end-2-end product lifecycle, from concept definition to mass production to rampdown

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Business or equivalent practical experience; MS/MA or
MBA preferred
• 8+ years of relevant professional product management experience in consumer
electronics, internet services and multi-platform app development, with a preference for
the active outdoors domain
• Ability to think out of the box and come up with new and innovative solutions
• Sound technical business judgment, with a combination of strategic thinking and
execution capability
• Distinctive problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to evolve
product strategy based on research, data and industry trends
• Very tech savvy, in depth hands on experience with outdoor consumer electronics and
services
• Must have experience with writing clear product & market requirement documents
• A history of shipping successful products
• Self-driven and pro-active
• Able to work and deliver under continuous high pressure
• Great intrapersonal skills, presentation skills, effective communicator to various
audiences, both internally and externally
• Strong project & process management skills
• Proven track record of independently driven towards results within various organizations
and team set ups
• Willingness to travel internationally and to communicate with different teams around the
globe in different time zones, at irregular hours
