Job description
MoTek is actively seeking a Director of RFIC design expert to manage a team of analog mixed-signal designers.
Exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to be a strong technical design lead with 7-10 years of experience in the mixed-signal IC industry, preferably RF circuitry. He/she must have hands-on experience designing several of the following circuits: ADC/DAC, CDR, PLL, VGA/AGC, CML/ECL logic, low noise bias circuitry, custom IO pad, etc. The candidate must be skilled in the design and modeling of bias circuit, bandgap, integrated LDO, power control and management, ESD and LU protection. High-frequency (>10 GHz) front end design knowledge is strongly desired (LNA, PA, LC-VCO, mixer or phase shifter)
Cross-functional skills encompassing technology, device level design, strategy, business cases, and technical and product marketing.
Ensuring thorough and timely design schedule.
Challenge and develop team skill sets and enable the team to be successful.
Develop the technical and professional skill sets of the design team.
Have a good understanding of the wireless transceiver architecture and system level requirements.
Assess the IC development trade-offs (cost effective vs. creative solutions) with internal teams and customers.
Design for testability and perform reliability and qualification tasks for new product introductions.

Desired Skills and Experience
M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or related field. Ph.D. is highly desired.
At least 7 years of design experience in transistor-level high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuit design including both state-of-the-art deep sub-micron CMOS and BiCMOS technologies.
Experience at or above 10 Gb/s is highly desired.
Review test plans and test hardware, qualification reports and evaluation/characterization data.
Develop high level behavioural models of the system. Familiar with Verilog and Verilog-A modeling language.
Knowledge of digital design flow is highly desired
Experience with high volume IC manufacturing is a plus.
Hands-on experience with high-speed test equipment and bench test skills.
Ability to take on tasks outside area of expertise.
Excellent communication skills.
