Job Summary:
We are seeking a Director of the Project Management Office in our Hillsboro, Oregon, office.
Reporting to VP of Information Management, the Director of the PMO’s primary role is to provide effective management, leadership, and drive the vision for a team of project managers who own the following functions for the Digital Channels Division: PMI best practices; PMO standards and frameworks; Project Management and Scrum Master services for product development lifecycle; and governance and quality of all product development and professional services projects. The Director of the PMO is accountable for leading the Division’s Project Management Office including on-going refinement and alignment of best practices, compliance, and inflight project health checks.
The successful PMO leader will be highly collaborative, integrating operations with the processes and practices of peer Business Units within the Financial Institutions Group as well as across the Fiserv enterprise. Of particular importance will be the necessity of close partnerships and coordination with the peers in Electronic Payments, Enterprise Technology Group, and Enterprise Quality Solutions.
The successful PMO leader will be knowledgeable, experienced, and proficient in Project and Program Management, including PMI standards and practices as well as have people and communication skills, driving relationships across the areas of Digital Channels which it serves. This leader will be experienced in Portfolio Management, metrics and reporting as well as Resource Management.
Job Responsibilities
· Hire, train, lead, motivate, coach, and manage a high-performing team of Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Scrum Masters, with both direct and indirect reporting lines
· Lead audit, process definition and improvement in PMO areas
· Partner in setting the direction for the integration of standards and processes
· Ensure consistency of PM practices within the broader organizational and strategic objectives
· Communicate and coordinate with peers and partners in project management and Channels supported SDLCs (i.e., Waterfall and Agile)
· Establish, adopt, and enhance effective processes, practices, tools, and standards for all PMO functions
· Staff planning and efficient utilization of resources
· Financial expense management, both OpEx and CapEx

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
Primary Goals
· Maintain and improve PM standards and best practices across all Channels project managers, project coordinators, and scrum masters within the supported SDLCs (i.e., Waterfall and Agile)
· Effective PM leadership of strategic projects, including project planning, communication, and change management
· Collaborate with peers in Digital Channels to improve the forecasting and scheduling processes
· Maintain and improve processes to manage Digital Channels project dependencies in other organizations within Fiserv
· Maintain and lead improvement of development operational metrics, including reporting for Monthly Ops Review, Weekly Dashboards, and other program reviews
· Ensure the work of the PM’s is audited and reported on, in order to drive maturity, accuracy and consistency of our PM practices
· Understand the differences and needs of Project Managing in a Development environment to those of Professional Services and driving client projects successfully, repeatedly and with quality

Education and Experience Qualifications:
· BS/BA required. CS/MIS/IT degree preferred. Advanced degrees a plus.
· Ten+ years experience in large-scale project/program management
· Five+ years experience in direct staff management
· Professional Certifications desired, such as PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt, PgMP, Scrum Master
