Job Title: Director

General Summary
Manages staff and oversees all projects in their area of responsibility. Sets direction for how IT will support the business needs. Assists with the development and management of project and overhead budgets in their area or responsibility. Participates in strategic planning initiatives and other internal IT projects. Develops and executes operational plans. Establishes and maintains relationships with customers.

Supports the Worldwide Home Entertainment and International Theatrical business units by acting in a leadership capacity in all phases of the Project Life Cycle for medium to large projects, including post-production support and ongoing maintenance. Drives business process reengineering activities. Serves as the senior liaison to the user community. Continuously gains an understanding of the customers' operations and how systems are used in support of their operations, transferring knowledge to users and other members of the team. Leads projects and coordinates activities of a matrix team of individuals, for delivering production support, as well as projects related to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning
Gains an understanding of the business operations, strategy and competitive and market trends.
Assists in developing IT strategy and funding plans in alignment with business needs.
Balances competing goals of business units and IT with the best interests of the company.
2. Operations
Develops operational plans and executes those plans.
Manages staff assignments and deliverables, ensuring quality, accuracy and timeliness.
Identifies, evaluates and selects vendor partners, including negotiation of contracts and rates.
Ensures the technology environment used by the business is current, including updates to and retirement of hardware, software, tools and archival of data.
Ensures adherence to Fox IT methodologies and standards and industry best practices.
Serves as an escalation point for customer or other IT Service areas issues and concerns.
Establishes the structure for supporting applications and the technology in use by their customers.
3. Relationship Management
Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, internal IT staff and vendors.
Manages customer expectations, prioritizes project requests and negotiates to resolve problems and issues.
4. Projects
Oversees all projects in their respective area of responsibility, including timeline, resources, budget, scope, risk, status reporting and customer expectations.
Oversees and/or manages multiple projects simultaneously.
Ensures capital project initiation documents are complete and projects have a solid business case.
5. Administration
Communicates plans, status and issues to management on a regular basis.
Conducts regular staff meetings and is responsible for disseminating pertinent information to staff.
Coaches and mentors staff.
Disseminates and enforces standards for information technology in the business units.
Determines staffing needs of the department and projects and works with HR to fill open positions.
Assists with department overhead and capital financial management, including developing budgets, preparing forecasts and approving expenditures.
Administers performance appraisals, training, promotions, vacation requests, time tracking and MBO development.
6. Departmental Responsibilities
Establish and Manages formal and informal relationships with international Business and IT teams.

Education:

Certification/Licenses:

Knowledge:
Strong FUNCTIONAL knowledge of JD Edwards / Enterprise One General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivables (AR) Purchase Order (PO) and Accounts Payables (AP) is required.
Knowledge of JD Edwards / Enterprise One program and file level objects.
Expert knowledge of Project and Systems Development Lifecycle Methodologies.
Extensive knowledge of project management activities, deliverables and processes.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including Desktop, Server and Networking systems.
Strong understanding of application development technologies using Client/Server, web-enabled and distributed applications.
Strong knowledge of problem-solving techniques such as root cause analysis.
Skills:
Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne versions 8.10 or higher
Candidates with Degree in Accounting (CA, CPA, CFA) or Experience in accounting functions will be given preference
Accomplished communicator, both in writing and orally, with extremely strong interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Demonstrated excellence at working effectively with all levels of staff, clients and other IT personnel.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, clients and IT personnel.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years IT experience, 5 years managing projects and systems, with 3+ years managing staff.
More than 7 years’ experience on JD Edwards / Enterprise One accounting modules, with minimum 5 years of end to end implementation experience.
Candidates with exposure to Global ERP support processes, supporting international territories would be given preference
Candidates with exposure to International Statutory Reporting would be given preference
Experience developing and managing departmental overhead and capital budgets.
Proven track record successfully managing IT projects in a complex, diverse and challenging business and IT environment.
Proven track record in resource management, including mentoring, coaching and performance management.
Entertainment industry experience preferred.
