In this exciting role as Director Human Resources you will be responsible for defining, planning, communicating and implementing the Vonage people plan, including major programs associated with staffing, development, performance management, counseling and coaching, internal communications and policy/procedure documents. The Director is expected to employ best practice systems and technology appropriate for specific HR functions. The Director Human Resources accomplishes results through mid level managers and staff employees, building and maintaining productive relationships with all levels of the organization and demonstrating the ability to successfully manage both employee relationships and projects.

Essential Job Functions

Leadership/Business Partner
Translates business strategy and values into an aligned HR strategy to drive business results
Acts as a business partner and provides advice, counsel, and coaching on relevant business and human capital issues around strategy, structure, people, process and rewards
Works with executives and Business Partners to develop talent management/succession planning for their organizations
Works with VP Human Resources and Business Partners to manages annual performance reviews; annual increases, bonus and equity programs; ensures documentation of corrective action as appropriate
Establishes strategies and plans to drive employee engagement at all levels, resulting in positive employee relations
Provide management with periodic HR metrics including cost per hire and ROI of programs being managed. Supports the VP Human Resources to develop and monitor HR budget
Selects, develops and manages human resources staff who report directly or indirectly to the Director
Engages team for identification and diagnosis of organizational opportunities
Strong leadership, supervisory and management skills. Ability to delegate, evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching
Demonstrates strong project management skills, business judgment, process analysis and communications
Provides oversight for vendor management, negotiates contracts as necessary
Talent Management and Employee Development
Works with the VP Human Resources and the executive team to develop and maintain an effective succession plan
Ensures talent is deployed and acquired with the right people, right skills, at the right time, at the right place and at the right investment to meet group/corporate objectives
Ensures effective and efficient on-boarding process
Uses various delivery options/media, such as online learning, classroom training, print media, etc. as appropriate
Employee Relations
Advise managers on employee relations issues including sensitive or high risk/ confrontational issues
Leads investigations and resolution for internal/external complaints
Manages annual and periodic compensation adjustments, overseas process and ensures merit increases or bonuses are tied to performance/KPIs
Ensures compliance with group and corporate policies

Specific Requirements (Technical Knowledge, Software, Etc.)
Executive presentation skills
Strong interpersonal & Communication Skills
Cultural sensitivity with international markets
10+ years prior HR experience in the human resources
5+ years of senior level HR leadership experience for technology company in employee relations, and organizational development
Public company exp a plus
Additional Skills (would like to have but not required)
Master’s degree preferred
PHR/SPHR desirable
Education
BA/BS degree in Business Administration/Human Resources/Labor Relations
Master’s degree preferred
