Prudential Investments Technology organization is actively pursuing a qualified Digital Technology Architect to lead our direction in the digital space and support variety of businesses within our Mutual Fund Technology division. The Digital Technology Architect will provide hands on leadership for designing and implementing critical components of our digital strategy to create integrated and optimal online experience. The candidate will play a key role in understanding the mobile, analytics, web development, social media, cloud based digitally managed services in an integrated model in alignment with our company’s digital strategy and core business systems. The candidate will possess strong leadership skills, creative thinking to be able to come up with inventive solutions to solve Mutual Fund business challenges.

This role will drive the digital technical direction of the PI technology team. The candidate will partner with technology leads to drive the appropriate tools used to meet the business demand. Also, developing expertise on the current system to push the boundaries of what can be done more efficiently. This position requires providing thought leadership, keeping up with industry trends, disseminating information to co-workers.

Responsibilities
· Creating and maintaining a strong working relationship with multiple business stakeholders as well as Corporate Technology
· Working with Sales and Marketing business leaders to develop robust web apps as well as mobile apps including - native and hybrid apps for iOS devices
· Preparing and presenting potential technical solutions and advising the business on the technical and business value of the proposition
· Working with digital business architects, developers, business analysts and subject matter experts to understand the complex technological system in order to produce integrated end-to-end solution options
· Communicate the solution approaches to managers and directors and document all of the technical components necessary to meet the business and technology goals
· Providing architecture and technology leadership across a range of digital technologies including but not limited to Mobile/Web frameworks, Portals, Web Content Management and Collaboration platforms
· Keeping up-to-date on new technology, standards, protocols and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment

Desired Skills and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
· Strong Technical leadership of Application Development teams and vendors
· 8 – 10 years of digital or IT experience with at least 5 years of management experience
· 5 to 10 years of software development experience in either .NET or Java/J2EE (IBM WebSphere preferred), SQL (MS SQL Server preferred)/Stored Procedures, HTML, Javascript, XML/XSL
· Working knowledge of: Mobile Development IDEs, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript programming and JavaScript Framework (such as JQuery, Dojo and Sencha), designing applications for mobile devices, developing hybrid and native applications (with offline access) for Android and iOS
· Knowledge of Mobile Application Management- control, security and compliance with respect to Mobile Application distribution & deployment and understanding of Enterprise mobile infrastructure and cross platform development platforms like IBM Worklight is desirable
· Proven track record of delivering multi-tier, multi-channel solutions to mobile devices, desktop interfaces, and other service consumption devices
· Excellence in leading teams and managing staff
· Proven track record of delivering multiple projects on-time, on budget and within scope
· Strong written and oral communication skills including proven success with a wide range of technical knowledge
