Our Team
Join the Platform Product Marketing team to help shape and drive the Informatica platform and portfolio positioning and GTM (go to market) strategy. The Platform Product Marketing team drives the cross portfolio messaging, positioning, GTM planning and corporate positioning guide, and coordinates the global product roadmap and launch plans.
Your Opportunity
You will be a key member and leader on the Platform Product marketing team who will establish a clear and differentiated strategic positioning for the Informatica portfolio and develop a messaging framework for the rest of the portfolio. You will closely work with Vice President of Platform Product Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer on other key strategy initiatives to ensure that Informatica’s vision is captured in the ongoing portfolio positioning efforts. You will use your creativity and writing skills to create inspiring, viral content and be an evangelist in the market for our category and solutions.
In this newly created role you will also closely work with the office of the Chief Product Officer to ensure that ongoing R&D efforts and product launches are coordinated to build towards the Informatica vision in a systematic and differentiated manner. You will manage the new product introduction (NPI) GTM process and ensure product launches maximize Informatica’s visibility, credibility and thought leadership in our core markets. Working with the Vice President of Platform Product Marketing you will define a set of metrics to measure the impact of repositioning Informatica’s platform, establishing a new category to drive thought leadership, and new product introduction program to clearly articulate progress and impact to the organization’s results.
Our Ideal Candidate
You are a skilled portfolio marketer, strategist and thought leader who will work closely with internal stakeholders in product marketing, product management, content and customer marketing, corporate demand generation and campaigns to create and build the most compelling content, positioning and strategic frameworks for the portfolio. You are an extremely motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision who can take charge and manage a small team as well as navigate a heavily matrixed organization.
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Platform Product Marketing in this newly created role and based in Redwood City, CA, you will:
•Build out and refine the portfolio positioning and messaging with a focus on how the Informatica solutions deliver on the brand promise
•Establish a strategic framework for the data integration market evolution with a view towards establishing a new category of data integration and management tools
•Be an evangelist, social media participant, and top tier presenter of Informatica vision to internal and external audiences
•Create inspiring, viral sales and customer facing content to cover all stages of the marketing and sales funnel
•Design the model and process for introducing new offerings (products or solutions) to market, including determining different tiering based on business requirements and market opportunity
•Establish a regular cadence of product launch events and ensure smooth execution of product launches into the market
•Manage a small team of direct reports, as well as coordinate portfolio strategy efforts across a heavily matrixed organization
•Establish a strong trusted relationship with product organizations to ensure a collaborative and cooperative working model across the various portfolio strategic initiatives
•Based on ongoing measurement, implement continual process improvements to the overall NPI model
Desired Skills and Experience
Your Qualifications
•Ten or more years of experience in product/ portfolio marketing and strategy, preferably in enterprise software
•Strong experience in software, software-as-a-service, professional services strongly preferred
•Deep understanding of the data integration and management software markets, with experience in analytics, big data, predictive analytics a plus
•Deep understanding of the software product lifecycle and new product introduction process for software or services companies
•Deep understanding of digital marketing and demand generation strategies
•Excellent process engineering, planning, and organizational skills to distill overall strategy skills into a cohesive set of processes and plans with clearly defined roles and responsibilities
•Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
•Strong ability to collaborate and forge partnerships and co-ownership with other internal stakeholders in business units, corporate marketing, field marketing and sales
•Strong initiative and follow-through skills with high attention to detail and quality
•Demonstrated ability to work individually on projects and collaborate as a supportive team member
•Exhibit high degree of creativity with a penchant for driving results
•Make good decisions even in the absence of some desired information
•Enthusiastic, diligent, highly productive, and high integrity
•Experienced at managing and delivering on time with multiple concurrent priorities
•Willing to travel (both domestic and international)
•Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; MBA a plus
