Director - Outreach - MMG - Washington D.C


Job description
MMG is looking for a Director of Outreach to lead the company’s media strategy, management, and execution of patient recruitment and enrollment programs for clinical research studies.

This successful candidate will be responsible for directing the strategic development, implementation, and analysis of marketing campaigns for clinical trial recruitment efforts that target specific patient audiences. The Director of Outreach will also develop multi-level media plans and execute integrated strategies including digital, social media, broadcast, print, and public relations outreach tactics.

Additionally, the Director of Outreach will track trends and analyze performance of all campaigns to increase awareness and educate potential clinical trial participants.

This is a full-time position in our Rockville, MD office (note: there may be an opportunity to work remotely). The Director of Outreach will oversee the outreach staff and will work closely with many internal teams including project management.

Responsibilities include:
Managing the day-to-day direction of the Outreach team
Dynamically managing recruitment campaigns by tracking performance of each tactic and media partner and reallocating budget as necessary to optimize overall ROI
Developing innovating outreach strategies using current and emerging social media technologies
Employing ahead-of-the curve recruitment strategies and tactics and continually researching emerging technologies
Developing, growing, and maintaining strong relationships with media vendors
Negotiating media pricing and contractual agreements and managing all activities of the media budget
Analyzing trends and recommending outreach tactics resulting from SEO and SEM assessments
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related fields
3 years’ media buying experience
1 year supervisory experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytics and ability to assess trends
Experience in health care communications or patient recruitment highly preferred
