Are you a stellar senior information development leader with experience in overseeing delivery of strategic solutions for a global organization? The Juniper Information Experience (iX) team is looking for a leader interested in managing the Software Solutions Division (SSD) iX group to produce a broad spectrum of online content (Help, Web, Solutions) and other documentation so that customers can plan, deploy, manage, and operate Juniper’s software products and technologies. Juniper’s software offerings are key to Juniper’s strategy of growth and success, and this role is an important factor in that strategy. This is a highly visible role and one which is critical to the ongoing success of the iX organization.

The SSD iX Director will be responsible for managing the goals, objectives, and resources of approximately 50 information development professionals. In addition, this leader will work with the Juniper iX leadership team and the SSD program management and product teams in driving and evangelizing the overall vision, roadmap, and delivery of a comprehensive information experience for SSD’s customers. Your ability to partner with other groups such as PM, PLM, and Development teams and teams across Juniper, such as Marketing, Support and Education Services, and in building strong and effective working relationships with customer representatives and product team members, will be key to the successful delivery of a seamless set of technical information that meets our customers’ needs.

Desired Skills and Experience
Your qualifications should include substantial experience as a manager of managers leading a large team (50+ employees), preferably as a senior information development director, or a product group program management leader; familiarity with networking technologies (and demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies) and the associated networking software customer documentation needs; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven expertise in the content publishing arena; demonstrated problem-solving and cross-group negotiating skills; and demonstrated project and people management skills. You should also have demonstrated experience in driving for results, applying a variety of management styles to match different situations, strategy execution, and attention to detail. Experience with online authoring and production processes, globalization / localization strategy and experience, iX/UI integration, and usability issues are preferred. Knowledge of both waterfall and agile development processes is required.

Thought-leadership on next-generation information delivery and a deep understanding of the product space and customer and partner relationships will be key to establishing your credibility and becoming an influencer with stakeholders throughout Juniper. Your impact will be measured by the overall quality of our information solutions, so the ability to persuade the product groups and partner organizations of our strategy’s benefits will be critical to your success. Ideally, you will have hands-on experience in implementing quality processes in a complex, global organization. Strong presentation and communication skills are a must. 10-12 years of experience in a high-technology environment plus a BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Design, English, or a related discipline.
