Director - Sales - Men's Department - PUMA - Westford


Job description
Initiate clear strategic vision and lead and manage future growth of the Men’s Department Store in the United States.
Responsibilities:
Travel extensively to key retail partner meetings to monitor and manage PUMA distribution and execution of PUMA Brand Strategy with primary focus on the Footwear product segment.
Achieve annual sales and profit objective for designated accounts.
Develop and manage to top line strategy for the Men’s Department Store Channel. Communicate strategic direction to all appropriate internal parties, including Account Managers, Planning organization, etc.
Partner with dedicated Business Planner to proactively manage the Channels’ businesses from an internal and external perspective.
Negotiate markdown assistance with customers (buyers and senior managers) on a quarterly and/or annual basis.
Work closely with Product Merchandising and Marketing to bring successful new products to the US market on a seasonal basis. Proactively manage progression of product line throughout each season.
Work closely with Product Merchandising to brief the needs of account base.
Present new product lines to key customers, as well as sales force at US sales launches.
Prepare seasonal forecasts in cooperation with Business Planning, Product Merchandising and Supply Planning groups.
Collaborate with Marketing counterparts to develop and manage to seasonal account marketing plans
Desired Skills and Experience
BS or BA Degree required.
8-10 years of sales management experience with a top tier international fashion/sports company or management in a buying/merchandising environment
Experience in the Footwear category preferred.
Travel extensively through US Market (40% travel)
Based in Westford, MA
Credible knowledge and experience with US Department Store and/or Internet Channels with a focus on the Men’s Footwear category
Expert proficiency in retail math
Ability to effectively lead an experienced team of Account Managers. Initiative, high energy, passion, decisiveness, an eye for detail and confidence are required
Strong analytical and overall business acumen
Open communication/good listening skills
Ability to convincingly present category knowledge using PowerPoint and spreadsheet software tools
