Director - Reimbursement Policy & Strategy - Sandoz - New York City


Job description
The Director of Reimbursement Policy and Strategy is responsible for developing and implementing reimbursement strategies that address the needs of key Government, Healthcare Agencies and Commercial Stakeholders that influence the economic and policy decisions on product coding, coverage and reimbursement for Sandoz Biopharmaceuticals’ products. This position is also responsible for the execution of tactical reimbursement programs and the development of tools associated with the tactical programs. The Director is responsible for creating innovative reimbursement support programs for internal and external customers. Responsibilities also include development and execution (as required) of sales force and account management training materials related to reimbursement support programs.

Desired Skills and Experience
Education :
• Bachelors Degree required, advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional business experience with significant accomplishments and track record in achieving coding, coverage and payment for biologics and developing new reimbursement support programs and services.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working directly with managing reimbursement strategy and tactical execution including managing reimbursement support for biologic products and or reimbursement consulting.
• Experience with payment and reimbursement sys-tems for oncology injectables, including both “buy and bill” models in private oncology practices and in-stitutional customers preferred.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the re-imbursement environment for biologic products (government and private payers) including coverage, coding and payment as well as how to develop, implement and manage reimbursement assistance programs.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to develop effective reimbursement strategy and tactical pro-grams/tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence/negotiate complex decisions and be a strong positive advocate for communicating the mission, objectives and re-sults of the Reimbursement Strategy Team with stakeholders and building cross-functional relation-ships.
