Director - Human Resources - Hilti - Tulsa


Job description
The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Position supports the Eastern USA Sales Market Organization and two to three corporate departments. Manages a staff of HR generalists.
Knowledge and experience of people processes and tools including Strategic Workforce Planning, Strategic Recruiting, Succession Planning, Change Management, Training & Learning, Employee Relationship, Diversity, Organization Development, Job/Organization design
Advises and coaches management and team members on personnel problems or corrective action issues to help ensure equitable, consistent and lawful treatment of all employees in all employment actions.
Supports the Company compliance programs (e.g., EEO/AA, ADA, FLMA, WC, etc.) to ensure equity, legal compliance and reinforce the perception of non-discrimination in all the Company’s employment practices.
Consults with management and partners with the Compensation group to ensure that employees are compensated appropriately and equitably.
Strong customer and business orientation with the ability to connect business needs with HR processes and priorities
Understands industry trends and implication to the business, workforce and HR
Understand business drivers and financials, KPI, and their relevance to achieve vision.
Ability to constructively challenge customers by asking questions which help them understand their own issues better and set right priorities.
Ability to understand and prioritize organizational needs
Record of achieving outstanding results
Project management experience
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Desired Skills and Experience
7 to 12 year stable and progressive HR management and Leadership experience. To include the following: employee relations, recruitment, organizational development, succession planning, coaching, compensation, and/or equivalent.
Bachelor's Degree is required; Human Resources, Business or related field; MBA strongly preferred
Professional Certification in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) a plus.
Extensive knowledge of current employment-related law and best practice in human resource processes.
Strong conceptual thinking skills and the ability to utilize creative and innovative approaches in problem solving.
Strong organizational abilities and PC skills required. Knowledge of SAP preferred.
International mindset
Bi-lingual language skills desired but not required
Travel: 35% - 40%
