Intent on being the leading women's fashion boutique worldwide, Shopbop seeks a Senior Art Director who presents the most forward fashion product in a manner that replicates the energy, styling and design sophistication of high-end fashion. By using internationally renowned photographers, editorial models and world class stylists, you will highlight the newest trends in fashion, photography and design through out front window editorial shoots in both NY and Madison. Including multi-media projects, website home pages, emails, video, social media and mobile.
Key Accountabilities:
From concept through execution responsible for translating the shopbop brand into creative/editorial concepts and shoots that engage the customer.
This includes editing film, story ideas that speak to fashion and concept, spreads for stories, home page story sequencing and overall pagination, also how this plays out across all branding media.
Candidate must provide "pre- press" supervision of photography to ensure color fidelity, and proper retouching and typographic placement throughout the proofing stages
Manage a team of direct reports including in house stylists and producers for our home page which is viewed by millions of customers every week.
Manage multi-million dollar budgets in a timely manner.
Delivering high quality creative products while insisting on high standards for self and others on the creative team
Consistently challenges self and team to deliver leading edge creative products
Reports directly to VP of Creative.
Ability to delve deep and think big, not just thinking of the small picture but big picture branding.
Advertising, design or brand building experience.
6+ years in relative field with retail experience.
Industry partnerships with photographers and modeling agencies
Photo art direction experience with an emphasis on fashion photography
Excellent creative typographical and design skills are essential.
Strong multitasking abilities and an understanding of the fashion industry on the designer level
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Bridge
Experience managing a team
4 year college degree in related field
