Sales Operations Director Splunk - San Francisco


Job Description

This position maintains strong relationships with field personnel to ensure timely, accurate, and prompt forecast submissions.  Works with Finance Department to develop and administer the company’s worldwide sales forecast. Responsible for organizing financial models and statistical studies for WW Sales with Finance.  Manages professional employees who are responsible for Forecasting, Financial modeling, Commission & compensation calculations, territory segmentation, CRM Management, Order Administration and Analytics.  Uses knowledge of company products, services, support and technology, oversees sales operations activities to exceed company goals. Works directly with IT, Finance, Enablement organizations to extend process improvements to the field. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Field Operations and is based at our headquarters in San Francisco.

Design, implement and rollout of comprehensive sales, customer and service programs and policies to support the product strategy and quote to cash process worldwide
Development of weekly KPM’s
Facilitation of weekly forecast calls
Development & communication of weekly forecast roll up details
Development of quarterly business reviews for executive staff
Development of annual business plans including capacity modeling
Leadership in all aspect of international export compliance and traffic
Provide global reporting, analytics and trending
Direct, Channel, Software &  Services quote to cash process and system development for continuous improvement focused on scalability & accuracy
Worldwide end to end order administration | quote to cash
Worldwide territory segmentation analysis and planning
Creation, management and administration of the worldwide sales compensation plans and quotas
Quarterly planning with Finance, IT, and Field Leadership focused on continuous operational excellence
All Channel Operations
All Services Operations
Further develop a Sales 2.0 infrastructure focused on field operational efficiency leveraging the latest technology (SFDC, Cloud9, Xactly, etc...)
Build, coach and develop teams focused on quote to cash, analytics, master data management, and operational efficiency

Requirements: I’ve already done that or have that!
7-10 years’ experience in Sales Operations group management within the software industry
Ability to manage projects with multiple tracks as a high-energy leader
Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies
Business analysis experience
Experience working with Finance systems preferred
Compensation and territory planning skills
CRM and database marketing experience
International experience is required
A successful track record of working with managers and executives at high levels in the organization, as well as staff users.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills
Experience leading change
Strong problem solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills
Must have attention to detail, a commitment to quality and be results driven and customer focused
Meeting management and group facilitation skills are required.

Education: Got it!
Bachelors in Business with a concentration in data analysis or statistics.
