Human Resources Lead (HR Director) Addmired - San Francisco


Job Description:
Reporting to the VP of Finance and Administration, this is a critical role where you will be both the thought and tactical leader on all matters related to human capital including but not limited to leading benefits and compensation, staffing, performance management, talent planning, organizational development and organizational planning and development of a high performance/fun team culture.

This role is both the strategic leader as well as currently the sole HR generalist at Addmired so the right candidate will be able to easily manage between developing the plan and thinking as well as doing the work. The role requires strong influence skills to convince the CEO and CTO co-founders on the right plan of action as well as teamwork, communication, negotiating and leading across all levels. Must work tactfully with cross functional teams and influences team members towork towards common goal, regardless of resource and time constraints, based on prioritization.

Responsibilities:
* Developing appropriate HR practices, policies and processes to enable fluid scaling of human talent and compatibility with California state and Federal Law
* Managing staffing and hiring; working with agencies, managing technical recruiter(s) and/or staffing professionals over time, ensuring candidate flow and working cross-functionally to drive hiring decisions and closing candidates
* Develop and manage pertinent HR processes including benefits and comp plans, employee objective setting, performance management and reviews, organizational and leadership development and organizational planning
* Lead culture development and set up appropriate programs or events to increase employee satisfaction and retention
* Demonstrated success in team leadership, stakeholder management, ownership/commitment, learning agility, influence and risk management capabilities
* Develop programs and processes right for Addmired today but also with the ability to scale with the company over time
* Manages fast-paced and dynamic projects in a highly organized manner on schedule and on budget
* Utilizes motivation techniques and people skills to ensure plans and programs are embraced by the Sr Leadership and/or the broader team

Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree ideally in Business, Human Resources or Psychology; advanced degree preferred
* 5-10 years experience in HR ideally with time spent as a generalist as well as roles in other HR disciplines
* Experience in a gaming, technology or creative company preferred with HR responsibility for an engineering, programming or creative team strongly desired
* Experience building the HR function or leading HR at a start-up preferred
* Experience managing a team, but willingness to be a one-person team today
* Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
* Interest in gaming desirable
