Director of Sales The Siegel Group & Rumor Boutique Hotel - Las Vegas


Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Sales or seasoned Assistant Director of Sales at our Rumor Boutique Hotel.  Rumor is a well-known boutique hotel in Las Vegas that surpasses our guests expectations with our exquisite suites and personalized service.  As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and facilitating business from markets to ensure the necessary bookings needed for a successful and profitable operation. We require that you have at least four years hotel sales experience and two years of supervisory experience. Prior experience in a boutique and/or upscale hotel is required, as well as strong market knowledge of Las Vegas.  This ideal candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time on outside sales gaining new accounts. Suitable candidates will have strong skills in direct/proactive sales. Must have prior experience setting sales strategies. The right candidate will have the ability to lead the hotel's community based activities and interests while growing RevPar against the competitive set, exceeding occupancy and sales revenue targets. You will report directly to the General Manager with support from the Vice President of Operations.

* Strong market knowledge of Las Vegas is required.
* Must be able to work the necessary hours per week in order to generate necessary leads
* Be able to achieve individual booking goals as well as ensure successful hotel overall sales by team
* Consistently spend 80% of their time performing outside sales calls
* Posses excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Be highly organized
* Be extremely customer service focused
* Strength towards team orientation, building and assimilation
* Possess outstanding selling, negotiating and closing skills
* Have the ability to implement all sales action plans related to his/her target area as outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan
* Establish a healthy client base of business through direct outside and inside sales solicitations and presentations
* Cultivate sales leads, identify develop and maintain relationships with key clients and associations in order to produce qualified business.
* Negotiate all aspects of the sales contract to include: attrition and cancellation clauses, room rate, length of stay, function space rental (if any), etc.
* Achieve sales goals through solicitation efforts to include: site inspections, outside appointments, industry conventions and on-line Sales Blitzes will be dedicated to networking within the community to solidify client relationships.
* Have a superior presentation skills
* Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies.
* Coordinate group, transient and meeting functions to maximize profits.
* Initiate and follow up on leads
* Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market
* Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner
* Develop strategies to increase share from competitors when the hotel revenue penetration goals are not being met
* Preparation of the annual Sales & Marketing Plan
* Coordinate and direct preparation of the monthly rooms revenue reforecast for the current and upcoming months and assist in ensuring accuracy within 5% margin of error.
* Have a passion for generating top line revenue
* Leadership, Hand-on, lead-by-example, day-in-day-out 
 
We prefer you have bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major plus three or more years experience in hotel sales and marketing. Must possess full service hotel Director of Sales or Assistant Director of Sales experience.
